- Curriculum Outcomes
At CUPS students learn English in order to:
- communicate effectively, in both speech and writing, in various situations to meet both the social and academic demands
- acquire effective reading skills and strategies to understand, evaluate, and appreciate a wide range of texts
- acquire good listening comprehension skills and strategies to understand and evaluate various listening excerpts
- acquire thinking skills to make critical and rational judgments
- become autonomous learners to manage their own learning by acquiring necessary study skills, setting their own learning goals and evaluating their own progress
- cope effectively and efficiently with change, extended learning tasks, and examinations
- become acquainted with current technological applications

Along with general language goals, the program aims to have students acquire necessary skills to pursue their academic studies at their departments. Hence, students will also be able to
